How blessed we are to have such godly mothers attending our church. Sunday, May 8th, the church recognized these very special women in the morning service. Each were presented with the gift of a flower to plant. Continue to keep the women of our church in your prayers.
It's been a very busy couple of weeks for John and Tonya. They are the proud parents of Makenna Ruth Ann Greenway, born May 20th, 2005. Makenna entered the world weighing 5 lbs, 4 oz, and is doing extremely well for getting such an early start on life. She is doing so well the doctors are thinking she will get to come home this upcoming week. To every one who gave of their time and love John and Tonya would like to say thank you and God Bless! God is still at work though the people of the Noble Church of the Nazarene. You are congratulated for all you do. May God Bless and keep you.
District meetings begin this week, May 31st through June 2nd, at Mustang Church of the Nazarene. Each year the local districts meet to conduct the business of the district. Pastors report on what God is doing at their local churches and the progress they hope to make for the assembly year ahead. The district meetings are a time of fellowship and worship as a church family.
The church family enjoyed times of food, fire and fellowship at the recent church cookout. The church celebrated the end of the school year and the beginning of summer with a wiener roast at the church. Many a marshmallow was eaten and a great time of fellowship was had.
May brings with it the end of the school year, and with that those who will be moving on. We are pleased to have a couple of young men in our church who have reached this accomplishment. Michael Hoyt and David Lester are both 2005 Noble High School graduates. They were both honored in our Sunday morning worship services where they both received gifts from the church and cards from loving members. May God lead and direct their lives and their futures.
A day for us to remember those who have gone on before us. A day to remember those who gave their all and paid the full price of their lives. We lift them up, both in our prayers and our thoughts on this Memorial Day. Please take time this Memorial Day to remember those who are no longer with us. God Bless.
Most of us look out for, well, number one, and servanthood seems far away. Christ called us to be servants to his will and to his desires. We fight to overcome our desires to think only of me and mine. In a world that's teaching us to see only ourselves as important, it's good to see the church preaching that Christ called us to give rather than receive. God wants to give you something that the world can never take away - himself. Won't you become a servant of the most high God today? May God bless and keep you in your journey as God's servant!
